Anna J. Dwelley

Dwelley, Anna J. (Maroney) of Braintree formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully June 23, 2016 at her daughter’s home at the age of 91.  

Anna was a former member of the Scituate Senior Woman’s Golf League and very proudly received her first hole in one at the age of 76 and her second at the age of 78.  She enjoyed dancing and traveling especially to Florida and Ireland. Anna was a dedicated Patriots and Red Sox fan.  Her main passion was her family and being a devoted grandma.  Anna will be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit.  She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Beloved wife of the late Frederick F. Dwelley.  Loving mother of Janice Dwelley of Braintree, Richard Dwelley of Florida and Susan McDonough and her husband Thomas of Scituate.  Devoted grandma of Shannon Sharp, Mark Peterson, Meaghan McDonough, John “Jack” McDonough and Julia McDonough and great grandma of Ava Nardullo and Tiffany and Devan Jablonski.  Cherished sister of William Maroney and his wife Marie of W. Bridgewater and the late Timothy and Thomas Maroney and Mary Ladd.  Caring sister-in-law and dear friend of Barbara Maroney.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Anna may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
