Anna Catherine Roeder

Anna Catherine Roeder (Cathy) passed away on May 14, 2016 surrounded by friends after a lengthy illness with pancreatic cancer.  She was born in Fair Lawn, New Jersey  on August 11, 1937 to William and Harriet Roeder.  Cathy is survived by her sister, Mary Warlikowski, of Quincy, Marina Bay, Massachusetts.  

She graduated from Fair Lawn High School in 1955 and Oberlin College in 1959.  After her graduation she taught in Fair Lawn before moving to the Boston area to attend Simmons College.  With a Master in Science degree, she was employed in the Quincy Public Schools as a media specialist.  With her keen intelligence, she had a passion for solving challenging puzzles.  Her pleasures were reading, domestic and foreign travels, exploring area restaurants with “foodie” friends, and her winter vacations in Bonita Beach, Florida.  Cathy will be greatly missed by her wide circle of dedicated  friends.  She will be remembered for her reserved presence, elegance, meaningful conversations, and enjoyment of good stories.  

Contributions in her name may be made to a charity of your choice.  Burial will be held in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.
