Anna C. Johnson

Johnson, Anna C. (Doherty) “Mame” of Quincy, died October 5, 2018.

Mame adored her family and hosting and attending gatherings. She loved desserts, especially chocolate, shopping, watching hockey and football, and playing the lottery. She was very proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed being involved in their lives as much as possible. Mame worked as a secretary at State Street Bank until she retired. She was a great listener with a good sense of humor. She was a spunky and caring woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Daughter of the late Philip and Margaret (Mee) Doherty. The beloved wife of the late Peter Johnson. Loving mother of Carol Carchedi and her husband Larry, Dianne Ruck and her husband Stephen, and Peter D. Johnson and his wife Jill, all of Quincy. Cherished sister of Teresa Hoffman of Quincy, Rose Doherty, and the late Joseph Doherty and John Doherty. Devoted “Mame” of Kristen and Katiann Ruck, and Amy, Jillian, and Kara Carchedi. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel, Quincy, at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
