Anna A. Hamel

Hamel, Anna A. (Ferrara) of Quincy died April 11, 2009 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife of William J. Hamel of Quincy. Devoted mother of Denise and her husband Russell Wilson of Weymouth and Deborah and her husband Dan Olsen of Bethlehem, Ga.. Loving sister of Linda Ferrara, Velia and her husband James Padula and Tito Ferrara all of Quincy. Cherished grandmother of Samantha and Jarod Olsen. Anna was born in Italy and has been a lifelong resident of Quincy. She was a waitress at Gennaro’s Restaurant in Quincy and both The Pilgrim and The Embers restaurants prior to that. Anna enjoyed gardening in her yard, vacationing and taking day trips to Cape Cod. She loved to shop and spend time with her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Friday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4- 8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
