Ann N. Mccloskey

McCloskey, Anne N. (Bare) of North Quincy, died December 14, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Francis X. McCloskey. Loving mother of Catherine A. Waterman of Florida, Nancy A. Thompson of California, Susan P. Flowers of Missouri, Judith F. O’Donnell and the late Patrick W. McCloskey. Sister of the late Arthur Bare. Anne is also the cherished grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Anne was born in Hull and raised in South Boston before settling to raise her family in Quincy where she lived for 67 years. Anne worked for Bradlees in Dorchester for 35 years before retiring in 1998. She was a communicant at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy and was a member of the North Quincy Senior Club. She was past president of the Women’s Auxillary of the American Legion Post in Hull. Anne was a very generous person and remained active in local charities over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-8pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
