Ann M. Youngclaus

Ann M. (Tehan) Youngclaus, of North Weymouth, died peacefully at home on December 5, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 78. Ann grew up in Brighton, MA, one of seven children. She met the love of her life, Jack, while speedskating with friends, and they were married for 50 years and had two daughters, who were the focus of her life.

She worked at Talbot’s in Hingham for many years. Ann was an avid reader and loved sharing her books with other family members after reading them.  She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping, going to lunch with her girlfriends, and traveling with her husband.  They went on many cruises and trips with close friends.

She was the beloved wife of the late John “Jack” Youngclaus. Loving mother of Ellen Youngclaus O’Brien and her husband Mark of Peabody and Julie Youngclaus of Weymouth. Sister of Marilyn Ferlazzo of Waltham, Michael Tehan of Somerville, and predeceased by her brothers Thomas Tehan, Joseph Tehan, Gerald Tehan, and John Tehan. Sister-in-law of Sr. Peggy Youngclaus, SND of So. Boston. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
