Ann M. Doyle

Doyle, Ann M. of Quincy March 25, 2007. Beloved wife of Mark F. Zappe. Loving mother of Matthew Doyle and Leana Zappe both of Quincy. Sister of Vincent Doyle and his wife Gail of RI and Tomm Doyle of NY. Aunt of Joseph Doyle of Boston and Christine Doyle of RI. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Saturday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 11 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Ann’s family gave her the most enjoyment in her life. In addition, she welcomed into her home and cared for many temporary foster children through the years. Ann also enjoyed her career as a journalist and most recently her work at the Patriot Ledger. She loved to work out, bake and read. Her family describes her as energetic, caring, passionate, loving, and witty with a wonderful sense of humor. She graduated from St. Xavier’s Academy in Providence, RI in 1970 and the University of Rhode Island with a BA in Journalism in 1974. While at the university, she spent a semester In Denmark. Ann had traveled extensively, both professionally and personally. She had visited China, but one of her favorite trips was to back to her mother’s hometown, Fintona, in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.
