Ann D. Mchugh

McHugh, Ann D. (Donnelly) of Hingham, died October 2, 2018.

Beloved wife of 50 years to John W. McHugh of Hingham.  Loving mother of John W. McHugh, Jr. and his wife Christine of Weymouth and Heidi Mair and her husband Ross of South Boston.  Devoted Grannie Annie of John III, Connor and Caitlin.  Cherished daughter of the late Ralph and Esther Donnelly.  Caring sister of Ralph Donnelly and his wife Justine of Milwaukee.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ann worked as an elementary school teacher for both Watertown and Scituate before taking some time off to raise her family.  Later on she worked in market research.  Ann was an avid amateur golf player and winner of multiple tournaments.  She also enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and card games.  Ann was a long time member of Hatherly Country Club and also Scituate Harbor Yacht Club.  She was a Boston sports fan, especially for the New England Patriots, and continuously watched golf, tennis, and many other sports including the Winter Olympics, which had a special place in her heart. Ann will be remembered for her strong faith and her devotion to the Cursillo retreat community.  Her main pleasure in life was her family and spending time with those she loved.  Ann will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Cremation will follow.
