Anita M. Shea

Shea, Anita M. (Medlar) of Weymouth, died December 10, 2017 at the age of 87.

Anita was an avid fan of Duke Basketball and Notre Dame Football. She enjoyed her family’s annual summer reunions at Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT, where she grew up. The focus of her life was her faith and her family.

She was the beloved wife of 55 years to the late Paul Edward Shea. Loving mother of A. Kevin Shea and wife Norma of Brockton, Dave Shea and wife Holly of Dighton, Ann Blair and husband Kirk of Tolland, CT, John Shea and wife Melissa, Maria Jankowski, and Patrick Shea and wife Cheryl, all of Plymouth. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anita was the last living of her 7 siblings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Cremation will follow. Donations in memory of Anita may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the USO, PO Box 96860, Washington, DC 2007.
