Mr. Aniello L. Russo, of Weymouth, died July 12, 2023. 

Neil is a retired school teacher who spent 40 years in elementary classrooms. He is a graduate of Tufts University and Bridgewater University. Neil has written an environmental article in collaboration with his daughter, “Mom and Pop Whitman” for over 10 years. He wrote a novel about the modern mafia in 2008 entitled: It’s Just Business.

Neil was working on his last book “Tipper and the Shamrock Beads” which is about his beloved cockapoo that he had for 14 and a half years.

An avid Boston Sports fan, he enjoyed following the Boston Bruins. He also enjoyed Arthur Fiedler and Benny Hill Comedy and just loved his family especially his wife who he would make breakfast for daily. 

Beloved husband of Sylvia M. Russo of Weymouth. 

Loving father of Neil L. Russo and MaryAnn Russo both of Weymouth.

Brother of Richard Russo of Quincy, Robert N. Russo of East Weymouth, and the late Domenic J. Russo, Jr. 

Also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visitation on Wednesday, July 19th from 10:30-11:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street), followed by his Funeral Mass in Saint Jerome’s Church, Weymouth at 12 noon. 

Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
