McEachern, Angus “Babe” Ret. QPD age 81 of Carver, formerly of Quincy, died on June 28, 2009. after a brief illness in Holiday, FL at the home of his daughter, he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Born on Nov. 18, 1927 in Quincy, he was the son of the late Angus McEachern and Isabel McDonald. After serving his country in the Navy during W.W. II, he spent many years on the Quincy Police Dept. before retiring to Carver. The beloved husband of the late Barbara J. (Hutchins) Loving father Angus McEachern, Jr. QPD of Kingston, Frederick of Quincy, George & William McEachern of both Carver, John McEachern of Weymouth, Robert McEachern of Bridgewater and Thomas McEachern of Holiday, Florida, Christine Williams and Jeannie Mann both of Carver, Eleanor Wright of Hebron, N.H., and Teresa O’Sullivan of Pembroke, Beverly Cook of Holiday, FL, MaryAnn Carmack of Hudson, FL and the late Richard & Joseph McEachern. Brother of Christina Gosslin of Quincy and the late Francis, John, George, William and Joseph. Babe is also survived by many grand and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Saturday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 3- 8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Babe may be made to Quincy Dare Program, c/o Quincy Police, 1 Sea Street, Quincy, MA 02169.
