Angelo P. “Red” Digravio

Angelo P. “Red” DiGravio passed away at the Harbor House Nursing Center in Hingham on Wednesday February 6, 2013, at the age of 89. He was a lifelong resident of Quincy.

Red was a veteran of WWII and served as a First Class Gunner’s Mate in the US Navy. He coached in the Quincy Little League and was active in the Quincy Ward 2 Civic Association and the 1000 Southern Artery Community for many years. He was also a former member of the Cohasset Golf Club, the Sons of Italy and the Post 95 American Legion in Quincy. Red was a Master Electrician and retired in 1988 after 20 years as a Signal Maintainer for the Quincy Fire Department.

Beloved husband of 67 years to Geraldine “Gerrie” (Wentworth) DiGravio. Loving father of Gerald DiGravio and his wife Nancy of Norwell, Janet Vickers and her husband James of Fort Myers, FL and Judith Ann DiGravio and her signicant other Herbert Daly, Jr. of Hull. He was the brother of the late Ennio and Vincent DiGravio. Also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 Funeral Services and burial were private. If you wish, donations in Red’s name may be made to the the Disabled American Veteran’s at www.DAV.org.
