Alma M. Pinto

Pinto, Alma M. (Gelenian) of Weymouth, passed away on April 3, 2024 peacefully surrounded by her family. She was 92.

Born in Malden in 1931, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Alice Gelenian.

Alma was very dedicated to her family and cared deeply for them; always making sure everyone was taken care of. She was very independent, strong-willed, analytical and resilient. She had a uniquely bold spirit and never failed to make others laugh. She wasn’t shy to participate in conversations about topics that were important to her.

Anyone that was lucky enough to experience Alma, understands that you don’t meet many people like her often. She was very protective over everyone she loved. She enjoyed being in cozy clothes, watching tv and movies on her couch, playing the latest lottery game and spending time with her family. She liked to go out to her favorite local restaurants, being at the casino, playing slot machines, and took pride in her Armenian heritage.

She has been a huge part of all of our lives and is very appreciated. She wholeheartedly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other family members/friends. She also loved and missed her husband, Joe and would speak about him often.

Predeceased by her husband Joseph Pinto. Loving mother to Nancy Hickey and her husband Gerry of Scituate and Joseph Pinto and his wife Jayne of Stoughton. Nana to Kristen, James, Kennan, Alyssa, and Maria. Great Nana to Madelyn and Cameron. Predeceased by her siblings Gregory, Alice, and Anna.
