Allan J. Macdonald

MacDonald, Allan J. of Weymouth, passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 1, 2023. He was 84. 

Survived by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Maryann MacDonald of Weymouth. Cherished father to Joseph MacDonald and his wife Deborah of Taunton, James MacDonald and his wife Theresa of Taunton, Kevin MacDonald and his wife Noreen of Weymouth, Karen Geddis and her husband David of E. Bridgewater, and Susan Bergquist and her husband Todd of Mashpee. Brother of John “Jack” MacDonald and his late wife Ginger of NH, the late James MacDonald, and the late Paul MacDonald and his late wife Marjorie. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Allan and Maryann were sole mates that spent almost every day of their 59 plus years together. Allan was very proud of his children and grandchildren. He could often be found sharing this, with everyone and anyone that was around. He especially enjoyed his family, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, working in his yard and spending time helping and interacting with his neighbors.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all the medical professionals that helped with Allan’s care. We would also like to give a special thank you to the wonderful neighbors that helped Dad and made sure that Mom was taken care of during this time.

Allan will be greatly missed by all. We love you.

At a later date, a Celebration of Life will be held – or as Dad said “Have a party!”
