Allan G. Haas

Haas, Allan G. of Abington, formerly of Weymouth, died March 7, 2017. He was 88.

Allan was born and educated in Weymouth, enlisting in the Army at 17 years old. His impressive military time includes serving as a sergeant in WWII, a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army Ready Reserves during the Korean War, Cuban Crisis and Vietnam Era. Allan was awarded many medals throughout his service. He worked as a master radio and television technician and service manager for 55 years in the greater Boston area. Allan worked the last 30 years of his career with Ken’s TV in Abington, retiring in 2005. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0462 and lifetime member at large of the Vietnam of Foreign Wars Post 15022. 

Beloved husband of 58 years to Lillian (Falardo) Haas of Abington and the late Evelyn (Fitzpatrick) Haas. Devoted father of Gerard Haas and his wife Claire of Abington, Gregory Haas and his wife Linda of East Bridgewater, Joel Haas and his wife Christina of Hanson and Kimberley Savage and her husband Gary of Winchester. Cherished Pop of Sarah, Daniel, Erica, Matthew, Angela, Jackson, Charles and Lila. Loving brother of Evelyn Norris of Rockland, Doris Norris of Weymouth, Beverly Koffink of Braintree and the late George Haas, Beatrice Brown, Robert Haas and Richard Haas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
