Alice Rietzl

Alice Rietzl (Schulam), 83, our dearest mother, passed away on January 14, 2016.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Wolfgang with whom she shared a life of travel, adventure, laughter and a love of family. She is survived by her children Lauren Chiaramonte of Hingham, Lisa Orcutt and her partner Jeffrey Akasten of Norwell, Linda Hines and her husband Michael of Norwell, Perry Rietzl and his wife Gertaud of Germany as well as her grandchildren Christopher, Mikayla, Melissa, Marco and Michele. Sister of Walter Sachs, Patricia Dziedzic and the late Anita Silvia and Peter Schulam of CT. Alice has many nieces, nephews and dear friends that she enjoyed spending time with, going to dinner and playing bingo.

Alice was the Vice President of Rietzl Porsche Audi.  As an accountant, numbers were her specialty. Whether the stock market or Foxwoods, she enjoyed playing the odds and winning was her specialty. She loved to dance and was a wonderful cook; holiday cookie baking was a family tradition. She was an avid coin and stamp collector and also enjoyed gardening and knitting.  Alice was a woman of resolute personality, always determined, never a complainer and always dignified. She will be remembered for many things, her quick smile and generosity amongst them.
