McCarthy, Alice P. (Dunford) of Quincy November 12, 2005. Wife of the late James F. McCarthy. Beloved mother of Paul J. McCarthy of Stoughton, Mary Ann Marre of Quincy, Michael F. McCarthy of Weymouth, Lucille Demers of Middleboro, Patricia M. Moberger of Rockland, and Kathleen Laubenthal of Melrose. Loving sister of Lucille F. Dunford of Revere, William T. Dunford of Jacksonville, FL and the late Sr. James Alice Dunford SCN, George H. Dunford, Jr., and Theresa M. Dunford. Dear niece of the late Fr. James Dunford. Also survived by 20 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Alice McCarthy may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701. Alice was a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish. She was also involved with many organizations with St. Joseph’s Church. She was a member of various Senior Citizen’s Groups. Alice was a member of the Castle Island Association. She was always a very active person and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Alice especially enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods and playing Bingo.
