Alice M. Schirmer

Schirmer, Alice M. (Ewell) of Weymouth, died July 26, 2014.

Alice enjoyed going to Foxwoods and in her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and always loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Alice was also a honorary member of the Weymouth Eagles.

Beloved wife of the late Carl Schirmer, Sr. Loving mother of Alice M. “Chickie” Stern and her husband, David, of Weymouth, Doris Schirmer of Rockland, Carl Schirmer, Jr.  of Hingham, Ralph Schirmer and his wife, Mary, of Hingham and AnnMarie  Danubio and her husband, Lou, of Weymouth. Sister of Geraldine Crowell of South Boston, Margaret Ewell,of South Boston, and the late Dorothy Fitzgerald, Irene Hutchinson, Ralph Ewell, Rita Ballou, Shirley McNeill and Mary Ewell. Grandmother of the late Carl Joseph Schirmer Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in Liberty Plain Cemetery, Hingham.
