Alice M. (Long) Blanchette

Blanchette, Alice  M. (Long) of Weymouth formerly of Quincy, died December 16, 2013. 

Beloved wife of Roger Blanchette of Weymouth.  Loving mother of Roger D. Blanchette of Weymouth and Ann M. Mazzarella of Weymouth.  Sister of Phyllis Prioletti  and Katherine Posey both of Sheffield.  Grandmother of Christina M. Mazzarella and Michael G. Mazzarella both of Weymouth. 

Alice was born in Somerville and was raised and educated in Fall River.  Alice worked at Presidential Nursing Home in Quincy for many years before retiring in 1985, she was  Registered Nurse for over 45 years.  Alice was a proud member of the Rosa Capella Red Hat Society.   Alice and her husband enjoyed traveling together, they visited many places around the world.  Most of all Alice loved her family and will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in  Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth, Friday at 9:30 AM. Cremation will follow. Interment will be at a later date in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Alice may be made to Meals on Wheels, 1515 Washington Street, Braintree, MA  02084.
