Alice M. Higgins

Higgins, Alice M. (O’Brien) of Quincy, died November 5, 2013.

Alice always enjoyed playing cards, going to Foxwoods, traveling to Vegas and taking cruises. She loved the Boston Red Sox but most of all well known for being a great cook and making the best Irish Bread.

She will be sorely missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Beloved wife of 51 years to Thomas F. Higgins. Loving mother of George E. Higgins and his wife, Valerie, of Quincy, Barbara A. Boyd and her husband, John, of Quincy, and Patricia A. Mackey and her husband, Christopher, of Naperville, ILL. Sister of John O’Brien and his wife, Claire, of Plymouth. Sister-in law of Joseph Higgins of Quincy, and the late John Higgins. Proud N ana to T.J. Higgins, Lance Cpl, Danny Higgins, USMC, Conor Mackey, Kerrie Boyd, Courtney Mackey, and Jack Boyd. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and her beloved dog, Buddy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
