Alice M. Cogliano

Cogliano, Alice M. (Scanlon) of Quincy, died December 25, 2015. 

Alice was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Weymouth in 1951 and Regis College in 1957. She worked as a dietitian consultant and was a member of the American Dietetic Association. She was a founding member, along with her husband, of the Lay Franciscan Order of St. Francis at St. Anthony’s Shrine in Boston. She was a devout Catholic and her faith was very important to her. Alice loved cooking and baking and would give away her baked goods to family and friends. She was a Camp Fire Leader and enjoyed giving back to others. She was an avid fan of all Boston sports and adored the girls at the Coffee Break Cafe in Wollaston. Alice was a kind, loving, and supportive person that was always accepting and sociable. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Daughter of the late Michael and Alice (Hansberry) Scanlon. Wife of the late Louis A. Cogliano. Loving mother of Kevin F. Cogliano and his wife Lisa of Weymouth and Kathleen A. Cogliano of Quincy. Sister of the late Robert Scanlon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral home service at 7 PM. Cremation will follow.
