Alice M. Carnell

CARNELL, Alice Marguerite (Nevins) Of Weymouth, died peacefully on August 9, 2019 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Alice was born and raised in the Hyde Park section of Boston.  She was married to John Edward Carnell of Boston and made her home and raised her children in Mattapan before moving to Weymouth in 1978. She was an avid reader who loved her Boston sports and worked at State Street and Talbots for many years.  She will be dearly missed by her large family and numerous friends.

Daughter of the late Martin and Alice (Scannell) Nevins. Beloved wife of the late John Edward Carnell. Loving mother of the late John E. Carnell, Eileen M. Kennerley and her husband Michael of Weymouth, Michael J. Carnell and his wife Donna of Nokomis, Fla., James W. Carnell and his wife Jeanne of Quincy, Paul E. Carnell and his wife Mary of Weymouth, and Cheryl A. Head of Lawrenceville, Ga.  Sister of the late Marie Kustka of Kingston, the late Patricia Williams of Waynesboro MS, the late Joseph Nevins of Dorchester, Carolyn McAdams of West Roxbury and Paul Nevins of West Roxbury. Also survived by 17 loving grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
