Gori, Alice E. (Libbey) of Quincy, passed away April 8, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was 91. Beloved wife of the late Richard J. Gori. Devoted mother of Richard J. Gori, Jr. of Abington, Alice Elizabeth Gori of Quincy, Joseph F. Gori of Plaistow, NH, Elizabeth Hughey of Norwood, Mary Gori of Norwood and the late Ricardo Gori. Loving sister of Joan Waterman of South Boston, Roberta Lorandeau of Washington and the late Edna Bruggeman, Dixie (Richard)Libbey and George Libbey. Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Trevor, Adrienne and Devin Gori. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice was born in Boston and grew up in South Boston, graduating from South Boston High School. She has lived in Quincy for the last 56 years. She was an accounting manager for Mass Machine in Boston for 35 years and a member of the Mothers of Twins Club. Alice enjoyed playing bingo, reading, painting and knitting blankets for children at the Squantum Community Center. She was also a past President of the Catholic Women’s Club at Star of the Sea Parish. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 9:15 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Boston.
