Sabatini, Alfred L. of Canton, formerly of Quincy, November 30, 2003. Beloved husband of Concetta (DiBlasi) Sabatini of Canton. Loving father of Diane Volpe of Westwood, Robert Sabatini of Weymouth, and the late Alfred J. Sabatini. Brother of the late Edward Sabatini and Olga Luporto. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-8 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Mr. Sabatini grew up in the South End of Boston. During WWII, he served in the National Guard under Governer Bradford and worked in the Fore River Shipyard. He later worked in construction helping to build the original John Hancock Building and the Mystic River Bridge. For 36 years, he worked as a Water Service Repairman for Boston Water & Sewer, retiring in 1989. In 1972 he donated his kidney to his son Alfred J. Sabatini. Mr. Sabatini was a member of the Sons of Italy Grand Lodge #1295 in Quincy and earlier served as a Sgt. at Arms. He volunteered for many Sons of Italy events including Bingo. He was a member of the St. John Holy Name Society and a parishioner for 33 years. He was a devoted husband and father.
