We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of Alex Lee, loving father of Vivian and Amanda, and husband of Winnie, on January 9, 2013 in Boston.
Alex was a passionate, loving, and generous person with great personality. For those who had the privilege of knowing Alex knew him as a wonderful guy with good sense of humor. He worked as the Assistant Dean for Administration of the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He partnered with his wife who is a real estate broker for their successful business in the South Shore. He was 49 and lived in Braintree.
Alex was born and raised in Hong Kong, where many of his family members still resides. He was proud of his first career as the accounting and administrative manager for Lindbald Travel in Hong Kong. He arrived in the US to pursue his higher education and was delighted to meet his wife who was a fellow student at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. With his diligent efforts, he quickly became proficient in English and flourished in his new academic setting. He graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and received an MBA with distinction from the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
We join Alex in our extreme pride of all his accomplishments.
Alex will be remembered as a loving and devoted son, brother, husband, father and many of his family members and friends in Hong Kong, Canada and the U.S.
Visiting hours are Friday, January 18, from 4pm to 8pm, at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday, January 19 at 9:30am at the Keohane Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
