La Civita, Albert L. of Quincy, formerly Dorchester died April 22, 2016.  

 Albert adored his family especially his beloved wife Ellie. He joins her to continue on “forever and a day”. He enjoyed gatherings with friends and family, Summers in Cape Cod, Winters in New Smyrna, FL, dancing, playing cards, and Saturday nights with the McKeon Post gang. Albert was a proud veteran of the United Stated Navy during WWII. He worked 32 years as a motorman for the MBTA and was a member of the Carmen Union Local 589, McKeon Post, Quincy Elks, and the Castle Island Association. Albert was a legendary eater and walker, he loved food and would walk all over town. His favorite spot was Castle Island. He also enjoyed going to Foxwoods, watching sports – especially the Red Sox, and was very proud of his Italian heritage. Albert was a soft spoken and gentle man who was smart and a hard worker. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

 Son of the late John and Carmela La Civita. Beloved husband of 55 years to the late Eleanor La Civita. Devoted father of Stephen La Civita and his wife Ellen of Foxboro, Richard La Civita and his wife Michele of Randolph, Mark La Civita of Boston, Ellen Curtin of Quincy and her partner Eric Espinosa, Andrea Tricomi and her husband Steve of Attleboro, Regina Lescault and her husband Michael of Walpole, Carol La Civita and her husband John Plonowski of Quincy. Loving brother of Rose Haley of Randolph, and the late John and Salvatore La Civita and Viola Traficante. Cherished Grampy of David, Brian, Mary, Julie, Alyssa, Holly, Meghan, James, Thomas, and Isabella. Great Grampy to Mia, Rylie, and Hayley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Albert may be made to Father Bill’s Place, Development Office, 422 Washington St., Quincy, MA 02169 or to Interfaith Social Services, 105 Adams St., Quincy, MA 02169.
