Owens, Albert “John” , Jr. of Hingham, April 2, 2002. Beloved wife of Gilda V. (David) Owens. Loving brother of Sandra Owens of Hingham. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Friday at 10:15 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 3-7 PM. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham. Mr. Owens worked for the Defense Contract Administrative Services for the US Federal Government in Boston for many years. He retired in 1987. He was an avid reader and a member of the American Legion. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, he earned a Masters degree from Northeastern University in 1960.Donations in memory of Mr. Owens may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
