Albert J. Vasile

Vasile, Albert J. of Quincy, formerly of South Boston and Dorchester, died January 20, 2015. 

Al graduated with a Bachelors of Science Oratory from Curry College in 1954. He proudly served in the United States Army in Japan during the Korean War. He was a member of the founding faculty and professor at Bunker Hill Community College and author of the book “Speak with Confidence.” Al was also a DJ for 25 years. He was outgoing and very friendly. His family was most important to him, especially the role as “Uppa” to his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Beloved husband of 53 years of Evelyn (Bryant) Vasile of Quincy. Devoted father of Albert Vasile Jr. and his wife Barbara of Quincy and Walter Vasile and his wife Patty of Holbrook. Loving brother of Frank Vasile and his wife Barbara of NJ, Joseph Vasile of CA, and the late Michael Vasile. Cherished “Uppa” of Kevin, Brian, and Kaitlyn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
