Albert J. Sawyer, Jr.

Albert J. Sawyer, Jr. of Braintree passed away on May 6, 2014, at age 86.  Al grew up and was educated in Cambridge and Quincy.  He spent the last 44 years as a resident of Braintree.  He proudly served in the US Marine Corp during WWII before putting himself through Northeastern University, earning a BS in Engineering and a MBA.  Al worked for more than 30 years at New England Telephone/NYNEX in a variety of financial roles.  He was an avid reader, a fan of finance and politics, and devoted friend and family man.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of 31 years to the late Dorothy (Bruni) Sawyer.  Devoted father of Joseph P. Sawyer of Miami, FL.  Loving brother of the late Dorothy M. Sawyer.  Also survived by many dear friends and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
