Vasconcellos, Albert D. of Braintree, died June 22, 2013.
Beloved husband of the late Mary A. (Trinidad) Vasconcellos. Loving father of Marina Boyd and her husband Percel of CT, Judy Daniele of Millis, Albert D. Vasconcellos II and his wife Theresa of Braintree, Joanne Vasconcellos of New Hampshire and the late PFC Richard Vasconcellos and Alan Vasconcellos. Brother of the late Helen Sousa. Father in Law of Leanne of Mashpee and the late John Daniele. Cherished grandfather of 5 grandchildren.
Albert was born in Bristol. RI. Albert and his wife Mary ran the 5 Corner Variety Store in North Quincy for 25 years. He also worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years before retiring. Al was a World War II Army Veteran, he was a proud member of the Army’s First Infantry Division “Big Red One” during WWII in the European African and Middle Eastern Theater of operations. Al supported many veterans organizations including D.A.V. and V.F.W. Most of all Al loved his family, he will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him.
At the request of Albert and his family services were private. Burial will be in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Albert may be made to Hospice of the South Shore, 30 Reservoir Park Dr., Rockland, MA 02370.
