Alberina Acciavatti

Acciavatti, Alberina “Nana” of Weymouth, 101, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 16, 2018.

Alberina was born in Italy to the late Antonio and Francesca Evangelista, she came to America when she was 11. She worked for 30 years as a dietitian at Quincy City Hospital and also for many years at Dependable Cleaners. Alberina enjoyed bingo, knitting, needlepoint and spending time with her family. She has made over 80 afghans to give to friends and family. Alberina was known as Nana to those far and wide. She loved to cook for large family gatherings to ensure everyone was fed well for the day.

Beloved wife of the late Emidio Acciavatti. Loving mother of Thomas M. Acciavatti and his late wife Valerie J. of Milton and Anne M. Fawcett and her husband Donald C. of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Tommy Acciavatti, Christa Hagearty, Mark Diodati, Carlyn Parker, D.C. Fawcett, Andrea Acciavatti, Roni Flanders and the late Gregg Acciavatti. She was the proud grandmother to 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Dear sister to the late Michael, John and Frank Evangelista. Also loved by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
