Agnes M. Prescott

Agnes M. (Fortunato) Prescott of Abington, died July 29, 2013. She was 97. Agnes grew up in the South End of Boston, graduating from Cathedral High School and working for the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. Agnes was a skilled organist and started at the Cathedral in Boston and later played at St. Christopher’s Church in Dorchester and St. Jerome’s Church in Weymouth, where she lived for many years before moving to Abington. Agnes was a devoted family woman and had the blessing of knowing 4 generations of her family. She will be sadly missed. 

Beloved wife of 40 years to the late William J. Prescott, Jr. Devoted mother of Helen Delaney and her husband Neil of Indiana, Rosemary Daly and her late husband Edmond of Marshfield, Agnes Curran and her husband Bill of Rockland, Ann Buckley and her late husband John of Brockton, Mary Jo Baggett and her husband James of Abington, Donna MacDonald and her husband Dennis of Abington, Bill Prescott and his wife Kim of Norwood, Douglas Prescott and his wife Kathy of Easton and the late Baby John Prescott, Lucille “Chi Chi” Prescott-Dolan, Baby Roberta Prescott and Baby Anthony Prescott. Loving sister of the late Baby Michael, John, Michael and Joseph Fortunato. Cherished “Nana” of 33 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Agnes may be made to the Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts, 43 Old Colony Avenue, Quincy, MA 02170; Autism Speaks, 1060 State Road 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540 or Eternal World Television Network, 5817 Old Leeds Road, Irondale, AL 35210. Agnes donated to all 3 of these organizations frequently.
