Adele M. Simmons

Adele M. Simmons, age 69, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2024, surrounded by family in North Providence, RI. She was born and raised in Weymouth, MA to Milton “Gramps” Nesson and Edith Levy. She was a loving mother to three and grandmother to six. Adele was a retired Medical/Nursing Assistant at the Allerton House for assisted living in Weymouth, and a retired Weymouth School Bus Driver. She was a dedicated hard worker with strong Christian convictions. She strived for higher education later in life earning a college degree while working full time and raising her children while always making time for Church. Adele enjoyed being with family, reading her Bible, and watching her favorite sports, especially the Red Sox. Adele also loved visiting her twin sister, Isobel, in Seattle, WA. She was known as a friendly and social person that enjoyed helping others. 

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Fillmore and daughter-in-law Shara, her son, Joshua Fillmore and daughter-in-law Erin, her daughter Rachel Fillmore, her brother Bob Nesson and sister-in-law, Lou, her twin sister Isobel Nelson and brother-in-law Mike and her sister Francine Nesson, and Shelly Polsky. Also, her six grandchildren; Gwen Fillmore, Shannon Fillmore, Ethen Harrison, Brady Fillmore, Jonathan Fillmore Jr., and Aiden Harrison.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday 11/2/2024 at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth. See www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
