Natalie Faherty, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 12th at the age of 89.
Those closest to Natalie will remember her unique ability to make everyone in her life feel special and loved. Full of joy and enthusiasm, Natalie’s love for life was contagious, making every moment spent with her a cherished memory. Her family would long to hear her wonderful storytelling, and to just be in her presence, which always brought warmth and comfort. She guided her loved ones to recognize what truly mattered in life: faith in God and the unbreakable bond of family.
Natalie attended Lawrence High School. She was a pioneering member of the first class of women to attend Northeastern University. Natalie followed her heart to pursue a career in nursing, completing her nursing degree at Lawrence General Hospital.
In 1959, Natalie married the love of her life, Robert Faherty from South Boston, and eventually settled in Hyde Park to start their family. In 1970, Natalie and Bob made their move to Braintree, where she lived and raised a family of six children.
Bob and Natalie’s marriage was and always will be a profound example of true love, and devotion. Their union is a lasting symbol of love – a connection beyond words.
Natalie Faherty’s everlasting legacy will be continued by her family, whose love and memories will live on forever. Loving wife to Robert Faherty, cherished mother to Laurie Faherty of Braintree, Robert Faherty of Pembroke, Michael Faherty and his wife Laurie of E. Bridgewater, Christopher Faherty and his wife Teresa of Las Vegas, and both the late John Faherty and Shannon Faherty. Her role as a beloved grandmother encompassed Alexandria, Michael and his wife Alexandra, Samantha, Janai, Robert, Zachary, Christian, Kaylee, Joshua, and Luke Faherty. She also celebrated the joy of being a great-grandmother to Abel Faherty.
The loss is immense and transcends words, a testament to how truly special Natalie was. There are no words to describe how much she meant to the people around her.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main St So Weymouth, MA on Thursday, August 17, 2023 4-7 pm. Funeral Friday 10:30 am at St Clare’s church in Braintree. In lieu of flowers, Natalie’s family would appreciate donations to Cops for Kids with Cancer in her honor. Natalie will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus.
