Thomas A. Gilmore

Gilmore, Thomas A. of Hanson, formerly of Hingham, died suddenly on August 30, 2022. Tom was born in Salem to the late Joseph and Marguerite Gilmore. He was a proud career United States Coast Guard veteran, retiring as an E-6 after a 24 year career. Tom enjoyed golfing, camping, cooking, and doting over his grandkids.

Loving father of Thomas A. Gilmore II and Rachael of ME, Samantha E. Baker and John of MD and Nicholas D. Gilmore of WI. Former husband of Beth Gilmore of WI. Dear brother of Carol Pierce of Middleboro, Susan Cullinan and Timothy of Hanson, Peter Gilmore of Hanson, Heather Downs and Kevin of Weymouth and predeceased by siblings; Joseph, Michael and Kevin Gilmore. Cherished “Bumpa” to Marcus, Mckenna, Avelyn, Thomas A. Gilmore III, Cormac and Grace. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in memory of Tom to Feeding America.
