Richard G. Renaud Sr.

Renaud, Richard Gerald of Scituate, formerly of Marshfield, Kingston and Brockton passed away peacefully at Life Care of the South Shore in Scituate, MA.

He was born in Brockton, MA to Ralph and Irene White Renaud.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Ralph and Walter and his sister Lorraine Allen.  He is the beloved husband of 50 years of Carol Johnson Hayes Renaud.  He is the devoted father of Corinne Freberg Furtado and her husband John of North Abington, MA; Noelle Murphy and her husband John of Plymouth, MA; Richard G Renaud Jr and his wife Beth of Essex, VT; Timothy Renaud of Pawtucket, RI; Michael Renaud and his wife Megan of Milton, MA; Stephen Renaud and his wife Kunie of Milton, VT; Daniel Renaud and his wife Heidi of Richmond, VT and Thomas Renaud and his wife Kristie of Newnan, GA. He is the loving grandfather of Nathan and his wife Stephanie, Matthew and his wife Amanda, Christina, Nicholas, Patrick, Billy, Lucy, Estelle, Maggie, Emma and Vivienne and great grandfather of Beckett and Miles.

He was a graduate of Bridgewater University and taught elementary school in Marshfield, MA until his retirement.  He enjoyed music and played cornet, tenor sax and drums in many local clubs and lounges.  He especially liked dixieland jazz.  His band played at the Ranch House in Green Harbor, MA for many years.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Donations may be made in his memory to the St Jude Fund at 512 W. Saratoga Street Baltimore, MD 21201-1896.
