Catherine D. Lyman

Lyman, Catherine D. (Delory) of Weymouth, 96, entered into eternal rest, July 30, 2016.  Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Lyman.  Loving mother of Dorothy Driscoll of Weymouth, the late Carol Cavanaugh of Weymouth, Frances Lamere of Weymouth, Roberta Tuffy of Kingston, Donna Serra of Dedham, Patricia  Scampoli of Plymouth and Nancy Leonard of Pembroke. Dear sister of the late Mary McLean, Charles Delory, Margaret Mains and John Delory.  Cherished “Nana” of  31 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her dear friend Claire Spano of Weymouth.  

 Catherine’s greatest joy was her family.  She enjoyed crocheting and made each and every family member a special afghan.  She was a wonderful homemaker who hosted over 100 relatives for Thanksgiving Dinner for over 50 years.  

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:00 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 10:00 AM. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
