Peter G. Wilkins

Peter G. (Pete) Wilkins,  formerly of Whitman and Sudbury, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, July 11th 2016.

His dedication to his children shined through the mentorship he provided to all that he met. His smile lit up the room and his boisterous laughter was contagious. Pete’s illustrious storytelling and wit will be missed by all who knew him. His favorite activities were cooking, fishing and spending summer’s on the Cape with family. Pete was an avid New England sports fan. As a local youth sports coach for numerous years he positively impacted many lives.

Leaving behind his beloved children Lauren, Amanda and Peter Wilkins Jr, and mother of his children Catherine Waters Wilkins. Son of the late Paul and Roberta Wilkins. Survived by siblings Robin, Paul, Katherine, Elizabeth Woodrum, Stephen, Michael, Joseph, James, MaryEllen and the late Christine. Pete was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) on Sunday from 1-5 PM. A funeral service will be held in the First Parish of Sudbury, 327 Concord Rd, Sudbury on Monday  at 11 AM. Interment will follow in New Town Cemetery, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pete may be made to the American Liver Foundation 188 Needham St, Newton, MA 02461 or liverfoundation.org.
