Mary T. O’Neill

Mary T. O’Neill (O’Grady) of North Weymouth, died May 22, 2016.

Mary grew up in South Boston. She was a graduate of Boston College and later worked as a special needs teacher for the Town of Hull school system. She also worked at Lincoln Trust in their payment processing center and worked in fundraising at the Quincy YMCA. Mary was an avid reader. She loved the beach and sailing. She will be remembered for her warm smile and generous spirit.

She was the wife of the late Robert J. O’Neill. Loving mother of Robert J. O’Neill and wife Christa of Hingham, Patricia O’Neill-Salfity and husband E.J., and Timothy O’Neill, all of Weymouth. Sister of the late James O’Grady and Mary Margaret Hunt. Loving cousin of Joseph Canavan of South Boston. Devoted grandmother of Jake O’Neill and Grady Salfity.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
