Rita V. Morash

Morash, Rita V. (Sullivan) a longtime Quincy resident, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 11, 2015, at the age of 100. 

Rita was a devoted wife, cherished mother and a loving and proud grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the foundation of all that was truly important to her. Her greatest joy was spending time with them. Rita also was an avid Boston Sports fan, she enjoyed the Bruins, Red Sox and loved her Patriots. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her.

Beloved wife of the late Earl J. Morash, Sr.  Cherished and loving mother of Barbara Hardy and her husband Eugene of West Bridgewater, Rita Dinsmore and her late husband Stephen of South Weymouth, Gail Morash of Quincy,  Earl Morash, Jr. and his wife Judith of Quincy, James Morash and his wife Ann of Quincy, Dr. Ronald Morash and his wife Martha of Pembroke and Kevin Morash and his wife Kathy of Weymouth.  Cherished by her dear friend and caregiver Mary Tarrant of Quincy.  Dearly loved by close family friend Bill O’Connell of Quincy.  Rita was the daughter of the late Andrew and Margaret (Murphy) Sullivan of Charlestown. She is predeceased by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Rita is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at  9:45 am prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.  Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the LaSalette Shrine, 947 Park Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.
