Reverend Anthony J. Daniele

REVEREND ANTHONY J. DANIELE “Father Tony”  long-time resident of Weymouth, passed away on January 9, 2014 surrounded by family and friends.

Fr. Daniele graduated from Weymouth High School, Class of 1947, Magna Cum Laude from Boston College, Class of 1951, St. John’s Seminary, 1956 and received his Master’s Degree in Film Studies from New York University.  Fr. Daniele taught throughout his life at Cardinal Cushing College, Brookline  and Don Bosco Technical High School, Boston and most recently was the Chaplin at Fontbonne Academy in Milton. He enjoyed film, reading, playing the piano and being with his family.

He was the son of the late James A. and Jennie (Caracciolo) Daniele. He was the brother of Robert and his wife Roberta of Marshfield and the late Majorie A. Collins. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Edward J. Collins of Braintree. He was the loving uncle of Joan Collins of  South Hampton, N.H., Jim Collins, Jupiter Florida,  Judy Feeney of Taunton and Julie Solomita and her husband, Michael of Marshfield.  He was also the cherished great-uncle of Emily Feeney and John Patrick Feeney of Taunton and Joshua and Zachary Solomita of Marshfield.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, January 15 from 4 to 8 PM at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home 809 Main St. SOUTH WEYMOUTH. (Rte. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Thursday prior to A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM followed by burial at St Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
