Daniel J. Breen

Breen, Daniel J. of Scituate, died suddenly on October 12, 2013.

Dan’s faith, family and friends were the central themes of his life.  His love of history as well as the traditions of the Catholic Church nurtured his faith and gave him a firm foundation to stand on.  Family was always a priority and he shared a special bond with his brother Jamey.  His years at Saint Anselm College were some of the happiest of his life.  A graduate of the class of 2012, he thrived in this Catholic Benedictine liberal arts college where he was a member of the Red Key Society.  He was also the captain of the St. Anselm Rugby Club and played the sport with passion.  This past year he was following his interest in the medical field and had worked as an Emergency Room Assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Milton Hospital.  He was full of life, compassionate, physically fit, and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Beloved son of Robert E. Breen and Anne M. (Harding) Breen of Scituate.  Loving brother of James “Jamey” Breen of Scituate.  Grandson of Elizabeth (Bux) Breen of Medford and the late William E. Breen, Robert F. Harding and Rita A. (Donovan) Harding of Hyde Park.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday in St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate at 11 AM.  Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Scituate.

Donations in memory of Daniel may be made to the Daniel J. Breen Memorial Fund, St. Anselm College Development Office, 100 Saint Anselm Drive, Manchester, NH 03102.
