Percoco, Stephen L. of Hull, died on September 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family.
Stephen’s hobbies included designing and was granted two patterns by the U.S. Pattern Office in Washington DC. When he was a young man, Stephen worked for BF Goodrich during the Second World War. When the war first started, the US Army-Air Corp’s P-51 Mustang had a 90% rejection rate that caused many aircraft to crash. Stephen Percoco worked for the War Department in perfecting a synthetic glue for the rudder’s of the P-51 aircraft that resulted in a 100% efficiency rate. He was later in life commended for this work with many citations from the Massachusetts State and U.S. Federal Government.
Beloved husband of 66 years to Ann M. (DeVasto) Percoco. Loving father of Jane Walsh and her husband, Ken, of Hull. Proud papa of Lauren Walsh and Alison Walsh both of Hull. Brother-in-law of Cosmo DeVasto of Dedham. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday from 9:00-10:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 11 AM. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
